What A Day!

alt_ginnyMy day was completely full. Completely unusual. Completely wonderful!
I got to go into New London to-day. It was brilliant. Earlier this week I received a message telling me that I needed to be in New London a half hour earlier than I was originally told to be there. I started at the offices of Purest Sparkle, where I took a short tour and gave a short interview. They also took a couple of "before" shots of me as well. From there I was escorted to the salon and spa, where the real work was to begin.
Daphne met us there right on time at 11AM sharp as we were walking into the building. I am so glad I was able to share that experience with her. Thanks for coming Daphne.
I don't think I ever had so much done to me in one day. I had a facial, and was given pointers on how to make my skin look its best and how to give it a subtle glow. I was shown how to do natural looking make-up and how to enhance my eyes. When they washed my hair, a potion was used that enhanced its colouring and made by red more vibrant. So much was done. I had a mani and a pedi as well.
Then after all that work, came the best part. There was a room set aside, with many racks of the latest designs in dress and casual robes. They pick out five complete looks 3 of which were casual and two dress looks. Then we did a photo shoot. That was a lot of fun, and it was plenty tiring. I feel like I got a small taste of what cover witches do on a daily bases. For every outfit change they had to adjust the make-up a bit, and did a complete redo for the dress robe shots. The make-up artists were wonderful. They always did it in a way that just slightly enhanced my natural look, so I didn't look like a kid, but I didn't look like an adult witch either. They even let me take some shots with Daphne, and said they would send me some of the shots we took by the middle of next week. At the end of the photo shoot, the told me I could pick two complete looks. My favourites of the casual robes and the dress robes.
I picked a lovely blue set of casual robes with all the matching accessories, and the most fabulous shade of green dress robes with all its matching accessories. Its been a really great day. I look forward to seeing the next issue of Purest Sparkle.
