Are you ready to go back to school?
I'm not ready for holidays to be over (especially with OWLs looming in front of us). But I feel like I have hardly glimpsed my family! Mum's been busy with the shop -- and so have the Twins, obviously. Ron had an internship but he also abandoned us today to go flying AND apparently he's been sneaking off to Sally-Anne Perks' house in the evenings.
And Percy had a huge row with Mum, Bill, and Charlie and now he's not speaking to any of us at all.
I've seen Bill a few times, at least. But if you hadn't been over to visit I think I'd have spent nearly the whole holiday completely on my own!

Date: 2014-01-05 03:10 am (UTC)Do you think things will be sorted out with Percy eventually?
I didn't see the Browns very often either. Well, Mrs Brown insisted I come a couple of times when she made social calls, but otherwise they left me mostly alone. I think generally Lavender pretended I wasn't even here.
I did manage to do quite a bit of sketching. I have one I drew of the Burrow that I want to show you once we're on the train. I didn't crack my books open at all for OWLS, either. I may be regretting that in a few weeks.

Date: 2014-01-05 03:17 am (UTC)And Christmas was sort of awful anyway. No one wanted to talk about how it had been a year since Dad died but everyone was thinking about it.
I did revise. I think Honoria thinks her parents will disown her if she doesn't get straight Es and Os.

Date: 2014-01-05 03:32 am (UTC)Mr Brown was rather cross and grumbly through the whole holiday, and it just made me think about my own Dad. And yours, since...well, he almost became my Dad, too. I'm sure you must miss him very much, especially this time of year.
I'm certainly glad Madam Umbridge isn't the Headmistress anymore. I don't think the halfbloods at the school are as badly afraid about OWL scores as they were last year. At least not yet. Maybe it'll become worse by the end of the year.
Frankly, I think that if Honoria's parents disowned her, she might be quite a bit happier.

Date: 2014-01-05 03:38 am (UTC)And too right about Honoria's parents. Maybe they'd trade her for Percy. Doesn't that sound like a good idea? We could have Honoria (because she'd be happier with us) and Percy could have rich, important people as parents (because he'd be happier that way).
I don't know.
You know it just occurred to me that in one more year you'll be of age. (Almost EXACTLY one more year.) Are you going to come move into the Burrow? I mean at least on holidays?

Date: 2014-01-05 04:08 am (UTC)I'm sorry, that's not a fair question. Or do you know what the quarrel was about?
Your mum has already asked if I would like to move to the Burrow, and told her I'd think about it, but I'm quite confident I will say 'yes.'

Date: 2014-01-05 04:18 am (UTC)I wouldn't trade THAT version of Percy for Honoria.
But the one who testified against Mum on the Magical Commerce Committee and cuts us all dead and didn't come to Christmas -- yeah.
