I did. If you want to see it, maybe we could go for a walk after lunch. Or before supper? What's your timetable like today? I don't have anything past lunch. Well, reading, obviously, but no lessons.

You're right about Percy. I wonder if he knows.

Hydra Lestrange did. Even though she's not even an OWL student yet -- but I heard someone saying last night that she's a legilimens. An INCREDIBLY powerful one, like she could probably read your mind right now if she wanted, from across the school. So that one's not as surprising.

Percy doesn't know. If Percy knew, he'd have sent you a PM, even though he's Officially Not Talking to Any of Us.

You could write and be the first to tell him.

Or, you could wait until he writes because that way you'll know how long it took him to find out. Whichever you think is more devious and appropriate for a Future Member of Our Lord's Finest. (I'm sorry. I'm really not making a joke of it. It's just -- if any of us were going to be honoured that way I would have expected it to be after NEWTs, at least? Like it wouldn't be so much a surprise if it were Percy.)

I wrote to Mum (you probably saw that) and Percy, too, I wanted to see what he'd say. He said, oh, I'll copy it over.

'Yes, I have heard about it from Mr Malfoy, but more than that, I learned just today that I have also been honoured with a role to play in the competition, believe it or not. I am to be the liaison between the judges at Hogwarts and the Lord Protector himself! To say that I have been stunned by this mark of favour is putting it mildly, but I am determined to do whatever I can to prove myself worthy of His notice.

Of course, given my role, I must be careful about speaking to Ronald directly, but I have no qualms in assuring you that I am absolutely delighted to learn of his nomination. Whatever disadvantages we suffered blah blah blah HURRAY WE ARE PUREBLOODS blah blah blah MUM IS SO EMBARRASSING blah blah blah I AM SUPER IMPORTANT blah blah blah and he might be coming to Hogwarts, that was the bit at the end, he's not sure yet but since he's going to be a 'judge' he thinks he might be coming.

It sounds like he's not going to talk to you and I'm sure he'll bend over backward to be 'fair' which is to say pointing out every last little thing you might have done wrong. So be sure you tie your shoes every morning because you can count on Percy to point it out to the Lord Protector if you forget.

Also, Mum sends her love and says she's sending you shortbread.
